We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. To accomplish this, we do things differently. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. For us it’s important to look at your skills and potential, please refrain form including your picture and age with your application to help us with this.Īpply with CV in English or your complete LinkedIn profile. Northvolt is growing at the speed of light and we are a strong believer in internal career development. We offer you an open and welcoming atmosphere where we win as a team – and fail as a team. We're a diverse group of individuals, united by a common mission, who recognise that while our actions as individuals have a role to play in driving Northvolt towards its goals, we always seek to move forward as a team. Northvolt is an equal opportunity employer. Qualities that we cherish are sense of quality, friendliness, grit and a sense of humor. Our organisation values great self-discipline and a natural talent to make things happen. The person we are looking for is flexible, curious, eager to learn and take on challenges. We are also looking for 6months Intern for CAM R&D Team. Thereby, you will also gain insight and experience of the everyday work in CAM R&D life, pursuing for the greener energy.Ĭathode Material Development Team is a small team of expert with a strong mission to ensure that the company works together to make our cathode active materials as sustainable as possible. You will be based in CAM R&D labs located in Vasteras and you will have the opportunity to participate our work on topics related to the thesis subject. Investigate how surface modification influence the battery performance can be assessed and monitored on the different conditions in a systematic manner and develop a tool to quantify or qualify the coated surface/interface structures by analytical techniques such as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Surface/interface coating technology is one of the challenges to mitigate such reaction, where clear physicochemical understanding of uniformity of coating is highly necessary, in order to optimize battery performance. High-nickel cathode material often have fast performance degradation mainly due to active side reaction at the interface. Northvolt CAM development team focus on the next generation chemistry including high-nickel composition. We are looking for a driven student to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future by writing the thesis for our passionate Cathode Development team based in Västerås R&D Labs.Ĭathode active material (CAM) is one of the key components that drives Li-ion battery performance.
